The Kitchen Garden School was founded in 2015 with the vision of helping to create productive and beautiful spaces that connect people to their land and to their food; curating edible gardens that look as good as they taste. Our mission is to make growing your own food enjoyable, and successful! With the opportunity to gain some life-skills along the way.
We offer a range of options to suit all needs, from Consultations and Mentoring, to Design & Implementation with Tailor-Made Planting Schedules, to Online Courses. Check out the 'How It Works' page for full details. Whichever is the right option for you, the common goal is to provide a food oasis that will change the way you eat, cook, and live, for the better. With a wealth of experience, The Kitchen Garden School is responsible for many a home-grown dinner!

Hi! I'm Polly Gibson, founder of The Kitchen Garden School. I have spent nearly 20 years creating & tending to beautiful private gardens in the south of England. Not at a drawing board, but hands on. This internship with nature has given me an in-depth knowledge of plant relationships; how they work, what they need, and, most importantly, how we can benefit from them. I now apply this knowledge to creating edible spaces. Gardens rooted in the idea that we can all be 'producers' rather than just 'consumers'. I firmly believe there really is space for everyone to grow, whether that be a formally designed potager, or a collection of pots on a terrace. The Kitchen Garden School has options to cater for everyone.
